Synopsis (taken from front flap)
Tail Feathers from Mother Goose is as varied as the colours in a merryman's coat, and full of strange words and mysterious happenings. The Rhymes have been chosen, by Iona Opie from the Opie family archives, an astonishing collection of children's folklore and literature built up over forty years. Almost all are unpublished: they are unusual version of known nursery rhymes or versions sent by correspondents or versions used by the Opies themselves...
Other illustrators include Shirley Hughes, Quentin Blake, Peter Cross, Anthony Browne, Babette Cole... and many more.
